Enough to Share

$2,000.00

I periodically live paint at events. I was on my way to 2023’s Mycosymbiotics Fest and the concept about having enough to share came to me. The idea behind it is that we should always be charitable whether with our time, resources or presence. When we are charitable to others we are charitable with ourselves. I could keep explaining the idea behind the piece but I digress.

I was thinking about that Idea on my way there and this is how it came out of me. but this post isn’t about the first painting. I listed Enough to Share #1 on my web store and Drew reached out to me saying he loves it but he need’s something bigger... Hmmmm he needs it double the size. Enter Enough to Share #2. Now that was a bucket list moment If I ever heard it. Shoot there had been times when no one was buying my work and now they want it but they want it bigger! I love that! Dream come true.

I mentioned this about the Bantz design I painted in the MPMH office. I love the opportunity to do something new. Usually I have keep moving forward, do new paintings, draw new things, it is very rarely that I am afforded the luxury to revisit an old idea; but not only that. Revisit it bigger and better. Enough to Share #1 was a brilliant idea, but usually when I’m painting at an event it’s not necessarily about perfection it’s more about capturing the vibe of the event, and often times it’s quite frankly sloppy. Enough to Share #2 allowed me to go back and and revisit it with a much more methodical approach. I would definitely say this is my favorite and best painting to date.
